Vinaisa "Vin" Kriegor

NAME: Vinaisa Kriegor
ALIASES: Vin
CAREER: Counselor
SPECIALIZATION: Nimian Disciple

Background: Vinaisa, called Vin by those who know her well, joined the Jedi Order when she was a girl of eight, during the Old Republic era, over 3500 ago. Vin was raised in the Jedi Temple, an isolated outpost even among the urban jungle of Coruscant. Her first memory of the Jedi Temple is walking up the front steps and turning around. It was the first time she'd seen what the Coruscant skyline looked like from above, and it is a thought that she had often used to center herself when she felt troubled.
As she progressed through her training to become a Padawan, Vin was assigned to Jedi Master Naomi Frey. Master Frey was a well-respected Consular within the Order, but lacked the martial prowess possessed by many of the Guardians, something that came easily to Vin. Despite her skills with a lightsaber, Master Frey quickly realized that Vin had an anger problem, and over the years she taught her numerous skills to help center herself and purge her emotions. Despite her short fuse, Vin fared well through the ten years of training within the Order. Eventually, she constructed her lightsaber, choosing the double-blade variant. Not long after, Master Frey was sent on an important mission to Alderaan. Master Frey left her Padawan at the Temple on Coruscant when she departed.

A few days later, Master Ven Zallow, one of the most renowned Jedi within the Order called a sparring session in one of the training rooms on the second floor of the Temple. As the sparring session ended, Master Zallow sensed a sickening disturbance in the Force - a great evil had walked into the Temple. Vin's sparring session was the last moment of peace she had before the Sacking of Coruscant took place, bring the Jedi Temple and the Order crumbling down. Vin was given the Omnicron, a datacron storing the sum of all the knowledge of the Jedi archives, and told to flee Coruscant and save the Order. She was confronted by a Sith Apprentice, who had his lightsaber to the throat of a youngling she knew was named Ranek. The Sith gave her a choice to leave with her life (and the Omnicron) or to stay and fight him and his Master, and allow the youngling to escape. Vin chose to save the Omnicron and fled the Sacking of Coruscant for the tranquility of the Jedi Temple on Tython.

Once there, Vin was made Padawan to Jedi Knight Arden Belorum, who sent her to Spintir with a pilot, Hato Aesian, to find Master Frey. While searching for her former Master, Vin confronted Darth Malefax and his Nightmare, and managed to escape with her life and save her Master. Shortly after, she was assigned to the RSV Ven Zallow to assist in the war, and to search for the architect of the Cartographer network. After a confrontation on Vaulta, Hato abandoned Jedi Knight Vinaisa Kriegor to return home to Sullust and save his missing family. Vin soon went in search of her friend, but found only a trail of darkness and devastation. Soon afterwards, she received word from her comrades aboard the RSV Ven Zallow who'd crashed upon Rishi that they needed her assistance, and she abandoned her search for Hato to save them and ensure that Malefax didn't capture the Cartographer network, but she had to leave the Rishi who'd helped her friends to the mercy of the Sith Empire.

Afterwards, Vin was recalled to the Jedi Order, but she refused to obey the Council and returned to searching for Hato. Instead, her deceased Master Naomi Frey returned as a Force Ghost to warn her that Malefax was consuming her, and Vin found a path that led to the planet of Seracco, where Malefax and his apprentices were performing the rituals in ancient temple. With only the Force as her ally, Vin infiltrated the Harrower-class Destroyer in orbit and confronted Ranek's murderer on the bridge. Vin forgot her mission and herself in her rage and dueled with the Sith. It was in that fight that Vin ignored the Force's warning of danger so that she could land a mortal blow against the Sith, and her left arm was blasted off by the Empire's troopers who'd stormed the bridge. Still, as Vin cut the Sith to pieces, she felt her need for vengeance sated. Returning her attention to the dying Force Ghosts, Vin changed the Harrower's course and set it to crash on the Temple on Seracco's surface, but she remained until the last possible moment and fought off Malefax's attempts to alter its course. Still, somehow she knew he'd fled before the Harrower crashed.

After the Harrower, Vin returned to Tython and submitted herself to the Council's judgement, who in light of her actions in saving many of the spirits of fallen Jedi Masters, were inclined to forgive her, especially since they needed every Jedi available to fight the Sith Empire. Promoted to the rank of Jedi Master, Vin was assigned command of a battle group and served in the war for two years before she felt Malefax's return. It was then that she confronted him for a final time. While Vin was well matched for him in the normal world, Malefax pulled her into his force walking nightmare where he began to decimate her. She called out for help, and her call was answered by Masters Ven Zallow, Cao Cen Darach, Arden Belorum, Thalassa Buir, and Oberell, among others. They aided Vin and she was able to defeat Malefax, although he was not destroyed.

Knowing that she would need to plan for the day when Malefax returned, Vin founded the Hand of Seracco, named in honor of her own hand that was last in battle above the planet of Seracco. The Hand were to be the guardians against Malefax's return, and once she had ensured they were well suited to the task, Vin returned to Rishi where she aided the locals as repayment for the pain she'd brought upon them, and then she entombed herself in stasis to await the return of the great evil.
