Malcolm 'Reverend' Starfall

Background: Malcolm grew up in a remote colony in the mid rim. They knew only their own rule although they were officially part of the Empire; however, their location made them insignificant on the galactic scale. Abel Starfall, his father and a former soldier in the Clone Wars, was the Proctor of the colony and helped the citizens live a relatively peaceful and productive life. Unfortunately, the rapidly expanding Empire eventually arrived to reclaim and reassert their dominance over the sector. In typical Imperial fashion, the 45th Imperial Subjugation Battalion showed up and began pressing down hard on the colony for everything from resources, heavy taxation, and even pressing their younger men into service.

Malcolm at the time was a young boy and recalls the fear and panic that hung in the air. His father had come to him and told him it was all going to be alright. He was going to go speak with the Garrison Commander as the Proctor to see if they could lighten the load on the beleaguered colonists. After his father didn't return for a few hours, he began to grow worried. Suddenly, an older citizen of the town named Ezra, burst into their house and gathered up Malcolm and a few possessions. He said that something bad had happened to Abel and that it was no longer safe here for Malcolm. Ezra had secured passage on a civilian transport leaving within the hour and that his contacts would meet up with Malcolm when he arrived. Confused and bewildered, Malcolm followed the Ezra's instructions, stopping only to ask about his father. He left the colony confused and alone, arriving on another distant world with even more questions than he started. Fortunately, Ezra's contacts were two Fringers - explorers of the galaxy. They were an older couple, with no children of their own, who graciously took in Malcolm aboard their freighter the Reverent Star.

It was years later, after seeing more of the galaxy than most people, that Malcolm had heard what had happened. His father had gone to speak with the Garrison Commander, an Imperial named Major Enrel Plattz. The Major was a proud man and an Imperial to the core. He took this as an act of defiance and, in an effort to subjugate the population, had Abel executed. Enraged, Malcolm took to the streets of Malastare, where the Reverent Star had made berth and recklessly began targeting Imperial assets. His wanton wrath was effectively, yet he was careless in his secrecy. He was quickly picked up by the ISB and sentenced to life imprisonment in Kessel for his crimes. He was left in the  cell to seethe with his anger for the Imperials but most of all for his father's killer.
